Willis Tower

Originally the Sears Tower, the Willis Tower was constructed by IUOE Local 150 members between 1970 and 1973 as 110-story central office space for Sears, Roebuck & Co.’s 350,000 employees. In just three years, 2,000 construction workers built the world’s tallest building for the world’s largest retailer — a title the building held for almost 25 years.
