Local 701's Heavy Equipment Operator Training School is located along the banks of the picturesque Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon. There are seven instructors on staff utilizing an 800-acre site, six classrooms and a three-bay shop. Nearly 1,000 journeymen and 115 apprentices have accessed the extensive equipment training, NCCCO written test preparation, and a wide variety of safety training classes provided by the school resulting in tens of thousands of instructional contact hours.
Our crane simulator is used for practicing lifts and calculating load charts. The instructor is able to program a wide variety of lift scenarios including altering weather conditions for real live working simulations.
